I have a confession to make. Even eating out with the stupendous frequency I do, I've gotten behind. Due to my abiding love of Roma's pizza, I have yet to make it to any of the new, hot pizza places I keep hearing about. Due to well, no reason at all, I've also fallen behind on wine/tapas cajun chicken marinade. They say the first step is admitting you have a problem. The second step for me was Tango Bistro.
Today's toaster oven can cook meals, grill, bake, broil and more. It is the third hand that so many cooks and home chefs need to get the food on the table in time. You can use it as a second oven to cook side dishes and other dishes while the large oven is in use. If you just want to cook a small meal such as a small cajun whole chicken, you can do so in your new oven. Want to make a casserole for dinner? Use your toaster oven.
Dairy products: You don't have to have a certain cheese or a certain brand to make recipes - buy what is on special. Yogurt cottage cheese butter etc usually have some brand on slow cooker hole chicken sale each week.
Lamb chops with mashed sweet potatoes. This meal definitely can be eaten with your hands, although the mashed potatoes will be a teensy bit messy and wonderful. Pick up the chops by their bones and gnaw on them, just like a medieval knight and his lady. Use the bones and your fingers to manage the sweet potatoes. Mmmmm.
Let's move on to food choices. The next time I visit New Orleans I will do more research on good places to eat but for now all I can say we did NOT find the good spots although Harrah's buffet was rather tasty. I have to say that I was really looking forward to the local cuisine and so we sampled three different restaurants all on Bourbon Street. Bad choice to say the least and I warn you not to follow in our footsteps. My $12 shrimp Poboy, $11 gumbo (mainly rice and a nickel sized piece of chicken), and $9 slow cooker whole chicken and veg sandwich all sucked. Mediocre food is what you will mainly find.
In order for the diet to work, you should have salmon at least 2 times a day. Generally, it would be during your lunch and dinner, though it doesn't matter if you have it for breakfast as well. Dr. Perricone recommends the consumption of wild Alaskan salmon instead of farm - raised salmon, but, regardless of the type of salmon, they should give you the necessary fatty acids which are an integral part of this diet.
The benefits of learning how to roast a chicken is that your child will realize how easy it is! And if you teach them how to make different side dishes, from baked potatoes to mashed potatoes or rice, then they're all set. Now no matter which meat they roast they can make a meal! Gravy is a little trickier, but you can talk about this as a science experiment!
Let's face it. Preparing a salad each morning before you leave for work is not only tedious but by the time you're ready to eat it, the spinach leaves are limp and you'd rather go hungry than have to eat your soggy salad. Either take a week's worth of salad ingredients to work and prepare one each day in the staff kitchen, or consider buying frozen meals that take less than 10 minutes to cook and always come in at under 400 calories. Paired with a sugar-free soda, this light lunch won't leave you feeling like you need a nap like a greasy takeaway meal can!
Now to make the gravy. Whisk together, in a sauce pan, 1/4 cup of cold water and 2 tablespoons of flour until smooth. Slowly incorporate 1 cup of the hot broth from the pot roast and bring to a simmer stirring constantly until thickened.
